Charlie, you’ll find a ton of lessons on YouTube (where I discovered Griff) on basic blues chords, progressions, and scales. The two important scales for beginners to advanced players are Minor Pentatonic and the Minor Pentatonic Blues scale. Using just those two scales, you can create amazing leads. Griff also has a lesson where he plays lead guitar with just 4 notes, played in different timing and in different order. Griff is quite the Blues Guitar stud.

Some might find holding a full note bend 5th fret g string easier than sliding downing 6/7 and recovering to the scale. Just a variation. Regards

Yes, I like what you did with the basic shuffle, however I too feel it’s “jazzy blues” I hear. You do a great job and with such ease. Hope my thick fingers can pull off these few measures. (67yr old ’63 Gretsch Tennessean player!)
